Master Bedroom - Before and After
The owners wanted to update all aspects of this master retreat into something warm and inviting, emphasizing the sitting area of the room and an overall update. The existing furniture was purchased 20 years ago, the blinds did not work any longer and the room felt cold and drafty. We settled on a look that would be elegant yet still have some influences of the outdoors using natural materials to emphasize the wonderful woods that are viewed from the windows.
Keeping with natural elements, the windows are dressed in custom linen curtains, new sitting chair in cotton, custom wood blinds and new rugs. The wall is stenciled in a herringbone pattern and the mercury lamps bring the elegance into the space along with the custom tapestry pillows and throw.
Formal Dining Room - Before and After
Here is a formal dining room in a newly built home - boring, uninviting and standard builder finishes. The client does a lot of entertaining along with family gatherings and wanted this room still have a formal flair yet an inviting effect.
By putting a warm mocha color on the walls and updating the chandelier, along with unique ceiling trim and custom curtains gives this a room a sophisticated look while creating a comfortable formal space. The whole room is anchored with a lush, soft area rug that makes this a relaxing room for all to dine in!
Family Room and Office - Before and After
These rooms were not functional with a large opening between the family room and office area. The rooms where dark, outdated, tired and the homeowners wanted to have these spaces function independently of each other, as well as update the decor overall to reflect their lifestyles and interests.
A wall was built to separate the two spaces and now work as intended by the homeowners. The wall on the side of the family room added a much needed location to house the flat screen television (not in front of the window as before) and on the office side a wonderful area for large artwork and added lighting (a sconce on each side of artwork). The colors are fresh and calming along side great patterns. The fireplace now has beautiful floor to ceiling tile and stone complementing the high two-story ceiling.
